September, 2021. I was surprised 😮 that in the RPX theater 🎥, the recliner seats 💺 were not full reclining or stadium seats. The arm rests are still shared with the seats next to you. The prepared foods are smaller than some other theater chains, which was fine. The RPX theater volume was loud! Bring cotton balls. Theater 5 has recliner seats & food trays attached to the seats. February 3, 2022: Theater 4 has full reclining seats 💺 & moveable food trays, like theater 5. Again, I was all alone in the theater 🎥. I loved it. No floating in the air 🦠🦠🦠🦠 😷. The staff are very nice. 4/4/23: The staff were professional & courteous. Theater 🎥 5 had reclining stadium 🏟 seats 💺. 6/20/23: Theater 🎥 #12, next to the men's room, did not have recycling seats, & the sound was very loud. 10/23: Theater 1 has the seats 💺 that violently move in all directions. There's puffs of air, smoke, & moisture that surround you at times. I did not like it at all, & it costs more $ to sit in that theater room.
This was my first time experiencing 4DX and I was definitely caught off guard. It had me locked into the movie the entire time. I do wish the side audio was a little better, but it’s a very good movie experience. Well worth the price.
Very clean, comfortable seats (they tilt back), plenty of free parking, the staff was very friendly. It was a busy night but they were well staffed so the lines weren’t long. They have boba! The popcorn was a bit too salty for me, but didn’t taste old. The area felt safe. We will definitely come back here.
Pretty average theater. Expensive, but has clean and comfortable seats.
I do not recommend the 4DX showings. It felt like a Disneyland ride; being thrashed around is entertaining for the first minute, tolerable for a few minutes, but after that it's just distracting, unnecessary, and uncomfortable. It's a gimmick that I wouldn't do again.
This is the best and most newly renovated theater in San Francisco. I was highly impressed. The concessions, bar, and milk tea area are clean, spacious, and designed well.
Tickets can also be purchased at the self-service counter on site or at the concessions stand. And who doesn't love a self-service butter station for the popcorn!?
The theater is spaced out well, with plenty of walking room between rows, accounting for the leg room one needs with the electric recliners fully extended.
Each recliner is equipped with a side table and personal cup holder as well.
This is the theater experience to have to make the ticket prices worth the visit!
It's great that one can purchase preassigned seats ahead of time, buy food on site. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, so allow yourself time. Seats do not recline as much as other Regal theaters. And the overall price of a movie outing can be costly for a family of 4++
Definitely appreciate having a theater that is closer to home and has easy accessible parking. That said I can only imagine how it will be when movies start to have a lot more showings. The theater was well done and is on the second floor of the mall (the area Macy’s used to be) and is a lot harder to access at night IMO because it’s a really round about way to get in. Once inside they look ready to handle small crowds, I say that because the concession stand I can see it backing up quickly when big hits come out. If you come here I’d recommend purchasing in advance for sure. With the option to purchase tickets when you buy food it can make for a long wait easily. Seats are super comfy so really appreciated that as I didn’t have to readjust my position as often during the movie.
Dec 26th, 2022 It was clean, convenient, huge free parking. The seats are also comfortable for me. With popcorn 🍿 I need to add free butter like pictures and 2 packs of salt 🧂 for more flavor. I was there for Avatar 2 movie. It took me around 3hrs for movie and 30mins for tvc 🤣 …
